KEITH KARNISH

Kate Ketcham comes to cinematography from a love of storytelling and visual art. Kate earned a BA in English and Religious Studies at the College of William and Mary, and then worked in libraries, non-profits, and art museums before moving to LA to put her interests all together as a cinematographer. She first studied filmmaking at Los Angeles City College, and then worked in lighting and as a camera assistant for six years before coming to AFI as a cinematography fellow.
Kate loves character-driven stories that explore big questions from unusual perspectives.
